About the Retreat
In our time together, we’ll explore practices inspired by the wisdom of yoga, Ayurveda, and mindfulness, which teach us that breath is more than just air — it carries the essence of vitality. Prana. Qi. Through simple yet profound exercises and space for exploration, you’ll learn to harness your breath to steady the mind, awaken creativity, and restore harmony within. This retreat isn’t about mastering complicated techniques. It’s about connecting to something you already have: the innate intelligence of your breath. Whether you’re seeking clarity, stillness, healing, connection, or renewed energy, you’ll find that the answers are already within you. This retreat is beneficial to total beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. This is the first of a three-part retreat series:
There will be time during the retreat for deep reflection, movement (Yoga, walking, qigong), meditation, and relaxation/stillness. By embodying and observing our experiences of our breath, much of the mysteries will emerge in the spaces beyond words. We’ll also enjoy a pranic-filled, Ayurvedic lunch and tea together (prepared by your host!).

Location:
Our retreat will be held at a stunning, forested property in Marshall, NC – about 15 minutes outside of downtown Marshall. Most of our time together will be spent in a beautiful, large yurt that is heated with a wood stove. We’ll enjoy a homemade vegetarian lunch in a separate kitchen structure which is a short walk from the yurt. There are hiking trails on the property that we can enjoy during our personal meditation time. This is an off-grid location, so be aware that that bathroom facilities are lovely and rustic. Please bring your own yoga mats and any props that you would like to use. If these are unavailable to you please let me know and I will be happy to provide them for you.
